English Garden Eagle Scout Service Project, June 19, 2004

Nate Beske selected our church to benefit from his Eagle Scout service project. His project was to reset the borders and groom the paths of the English garden. The 90 yards of stone borders had sunken into the soil so they didn't function to hold in the plants and mulch, detracting from the beauty of the garden. Workdays were Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19.

The Eagle Scout service project provides the opportunity for the Eagle Scout candidate to demonstrate the leadership skills he has learned in Scouting. As a demonstration of leadership, the Scout must plan the work, organize the personnel needed, and direct the project to its completion.
