The cost of progress has often been a diminishing reserve of personal resources relative to what is demanded of us. This loss of "margin" has numerous emotional, physical, and social costs. In particular, it often leads to a failure to nurture and protect relationships. In this three part series from June 17 to July 1, 2007, we explored some of the stresses of modern life and the ways we might overcome them to lead a more balanced life.

The primary reference for the series was Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives, Revised, by: Richard A. Swenson, Nav Press, 2004  ISBN: 1576836827. ISBN-13: 9781576836828.

The series was led by the Rev. Marilyn Baldwin and Richard Lee.
