OUTREACH NEWS

The parish outreach program for 2003 will continue with community projects that we have found to be meaningful, both to those with needs and to our parishioners who support them. With ourselves as resources, we will continue to look for ways to engage in such projects. For those who like to be doing something with their hands, we have our continuing Out-to-Lunch program and we may be adding a spring clean-up/fix-up project. In addition, we are sponsoring a new ingathering of items for the Children’s Home Society Crisis Nurseries.

For the record, we were able to collect $880 for the Jerusalem 2000 program at the Epiphany Ingathering. At our January Out-to-Lunch offering, 55 people were served a wonderful chicken dinner prepared by Fletcher and Courtney McKinney, assisted by the Watkins and DeSmet families. Many thanks to them and to the many others who have helped make this one our most successful programs.
