A REQUEST FOR ART SUPPLIES
Kate Johnson, St. John’s parishioner and Cultural
Arts Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Elk River recently began her job at
the Boys and Girls Club. She really
loves her job teaching kids from 1st to 12th grades to
have an appreciation for the arts and environment, but they are seriously
under-funded and having difficulty getting art supplies as a result. They are in need of craft items, fine art
supplies, paper, karaoke CD’s, sheet music, and regular household items that
you would otherwise discard or recycle such as paper towel rolls, containers
from cottage cheese, kool-aid mix, etc., egg cartons, and milk cartons. If you can supply any of these, she would
greatly appreciate it. Please bring
them to church with you and she will bring them to the club. This is an on-going need, and not a one-time
request. If you desire, let her know
the value and she will have the secretary send you a tax receipt for your
donation. Thank you!
