ADULT EDUCATION
SPREADS ITS WINGS
The
Adult Education program will expand in March to include a “Journey in Faith”
group that will meet between the 9:00 and 10:30 services. This will be a weekly chance to combine
fellowship and learning while enjoying a cup of coffee in an informal
setting. We will explore the world of
the Episcopal Church including our own Church, St. John in the Wilderness.
Seekers,
newcomers and old timers will discuss customs, traditions, spirituality and
more in an interactive way. Attending
these sessions will prepare you to be baptized, confirmed, or received into the
Church during the Great Easter Vigil if you are so inclined.
We
would like you to supply us with some burning questions or topics of interest
that could be added to our inventory.
For instance, do you know what the Sexton does? Do you want to know? It took me eight years to figure this one
out on my own, so I’m not going to tell you!
(You will have to come to a “Journey in Faith” session in March.)
Call
Therese Branby with your questions & topics or if you would
like to help with this project you are more than welcome. Leave your name and number on my voice mail
if I’m not available and I will call you back.
