Now the Lord said to Abram, ". . . by you all the families of the earth shall bless themselves (Genesis 12: 1a, 3b)*

And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise (Galatians 3:29)*

". . . It is the community of your father Abraham; He (God) called you Muslims before and in this revelation. . . (Qur'an 22:78)*

Judaism, Christianity, Islam: three great religious traditions, each claiming to be the descendants of Abraham, each proclaiming the one and only God, creator of heaven and earth. From March 23, 2003 to May 18, 2003, we compared and contrasted how these three faiths view:

  the person of God

  God's people

how we should live the holy life

the relationship between believers and nonbelievers

the goal of human history: the end of time

Note this series is being updated in a new series The Children of Abraham, March 4, 2007 through April 22, 2007.
